Finding food

Menus and prices

Menus come from the merchant, or from a fan's photo of the board until the merchant adds their own. Sold out comes from the merchant's register. A listing with no menu asks you to add one.

Where a menu comes from

  • The merchant. Merchants who claimed their listing keep their menu and prices in Truk Manager. Featured items are their picks.
  • A fan's photo. For a listing without a menu, a fan can photograph the board; HeyTruk reads it and lists the items and prices. The merchant replaces it with their own when they claim the listing.

Prices are what the merchant or the board said at the time. The merchant sets prices at the window; HeyTruk does not sell the food.

Sold out

Sold out on an item comes from the merchant's register when they use Square, as the item runs out. It clears when they restock. Chasing a merchant also gets you a push when a sold-out item comes back while they are live.

No menu yet

"No menu yet. At the truck? Add a photo of the menu board." Tap Add the menu, photograph the whole board with the prices, and the menu goes up after review. It pays 100 points. See Adding a menu photo.

A price or item is wrong

Tap Suggest an edit on the merchant's page and say what changed.
