What to put in a request
Name and email, the event's date, address, headcount and whether it is indoors; how guests will pay; service style, dietary needs and anything the merchant should know.
On a merchant's events page, tap Request quote. The form asks for:
- Your name and email. That is how quotes reach you. A phone number is optional.
- The event: a name, the date (and whether the date is flexible), the address, indoors or outdoors, and whether there is power on site. A merchant without a generator needs power.
- Guests: the headcount. Quotes are per head, so get it close.
- Who pays: you (one bill) or your guests (at the window).
- Service style and package, from what the merchant offers.
- Dietary needs and anything else in Notes: timing, parking, a loading dock, a theme.
- Exclusivity, if you need the merchant to be the only food at the event, and whether you need a certificate of insurance.
Tap Request quote. The merchant sees it at once; "Seen, waiting on a quote" shows on your side when they have opened it.
Tips
- Say the serving window ("food from 12 to 2"), not just the event time.
- If the date is flexible, say so; it gets you more quotes.
- A rough budget in Notes helps the merchant pick the right package.
