Friends and sharing
The Friends tab
Your friends' activity: where they eat, what they rank, their Bite Notes. Follow people by handle, share your code, and invite friends or merchants.
Tap Friends in the bottom bar.
- The feed. What the people you follow are doing: trucks they ranked and the score, Bite Notes, trucks they chased, tags that went on the map, FoodRUN bests, Regular status earned.
- Find people. Search by @handle or name.
- Your code. "Friends enter it to follow you. Tap to copy."
- People you may know and Shared with you: suggestions and things friends sent you.
- Invite friends to HeyTruk and Find a merchant to invite a truck that is not on HeyTruk.
Following, not friending
HeyTruk works like Instagram: you follow people, and people follow you. Follows you shows on a profile that follows you; Follow back makes it mutual. Nobody has to approve.
What people see of you
Your profile shows your name, username, level mark, Bite Notes and activity, under your privacy settings. Share my activity is the master switch; turn it off and nothing shows in anyone's feed. Show my Chasing list decides whether people who view your profile see the trucks you are chasing. See Privacy and location.
