Take the in-app tutorial
The Beta Tour is seven short missions inside the app, each ending with something you do. It runs on sample content and takes about ten minutes.
The quickest way to learn HeyTruk is to do it. The Beta Tour walks you through the app in seven short missions, each ending with a real tap: save a Radar, claim an offer, rank a truck. It uses sample content so nothing you do during the tour counts against your real account.
Start the tour
- Open the Me tab and tap Settings.
- Tap Beta Tour. The app switches on demo mode and opens the first mission.
On a phone with HeyTruk installed, that button opens the Me tab; tap Settings, then Beta Tour. Without the app it takes you to the waitlist. If you have not signed in yet, download and sign in first; the tour is offered right after your first sign-in.
The seven missions
- Home: save your Radar; read the Live, Open now and Open rows.
- Promotions: pick a card in the Tuesday Shuffle, see a Passport route, claim an offer on a merchant's page, find it under My offers.
- A merchant: status, spot and hours; rank them after you eat; Bite Notes; turn on alerts; chase them.
- Map: open the map key (Live, Open now, Open, Scheduled, Last seen, Usual spot) and plan ahead by day.
- Drops: tap Notify Me on a Drop that is coming.
- Rewards and Games: points, the Weekly Draw, redeeming, Truk Shop, and today's free daily game.
- Friends: your friends' activity, and inviting a truck, cart or pop-up that is not on HeyTruk yet.
Each mission marks itself done when you complete its task. You can stop at any point and pick up later from the same place.
Leave the tour
In Settings, tap Exit Tutorial. That turns off demo mode and clears your demo activity. Your real Radars, follows and points are untouched.
Replay it
Settings → Beta Tour starts it again at any time.
