Rank a truck and Bite Notes

Rank a merchant with a few which-was-better picks against ones you have eaten at, and see where it lands on your list. Add Bite Notes after. Both pay points.

Rank a merchant

  1. On the merchant's page, tap Rank it. On Home, the Did you eat here? card asks after a walk-up; tap Rank it there, or Didn't go.
  2. How was it? Pick Liked (6.5 to 10), Fine (3.5 to 6.4) or Not for me (0 to 3.4).
  3. Which was better? A few picks against merchants you have already ranked, with a count so you know how many are left. Too close to call when you can't choose. Under it, your list shows where the spot is narrowing to.
  4. The app slots it into your list between its neighbors and shows where it landed: #4 of 12 · 8.6 · Liked.
  5. What did you order? Add the dish, and a photo if you have one. Both are optional; Done saves either way.

If the save fails you see Didn't save and a Try again button; your answers stay.

Your list is under Me → Eaten, best to worst, where you can hold and drag to rerank. Your own scores wear a gold circle everywhere.

The numbers on a merchant's page

  • Your rank: where it sits on your list, your score, and the band word. Only you see it. Tap Rank again to redo it; the old rank stays until the new one saves.
  • For you: before you have ranked a merchant, what you would likely give it, worked out from people whose lists overlap yours. It needs three merchants in common; until then it says Rank 3 Truks first. It disappears once you rank.
  • Friends: your friends' average for it, with their initials and how many of them ranked it. It only shows once you have friends.
  • Rank Score: the public number. Every merchant starts at 8.0 and earns it from there; under 5 ranks it says New. The band word sits beside it: Liked, Fine or Not for me.

Bite Notes

Tap Add Bite Notes on the merchant's page, next to the rank button, and choose what to add:

  • Favorite Bites: the dishes to order.
  • Truk Labels: "Big portions", "Cash only" and the like.
  • Note: a line for the next person.

Bite Notes show on the merchant's page and under Me → Bite Notes. Logging a dish with a photo pays 25 points, once per merchant per day. A Private notes field on each entry is only for you.
