Tagging trucks (TrukTag)
How to tag
Take the photo now, at the truck: the whole truck and its sign, no zoom. Then the menu board, and their handle if you know it.
- Stand in front of the truck and tap Tag a Truk. The tag uses your phone's location, so step into the open if the app asks.
- Snap the truck. Get the whole truck and its sign in the shot. Don't zoom; if the app says "Step back and take it again without zoom," do that.
- Now the menu board. Get the prices in. Add a 2nd board if there is one, or skip if there is no board.
- Know their handle? Add their Instagram if you do. It helps HeyTruk reach them.
- Send it. The screen reads "On your map. Listed once we review it."
What the app may say
- Already on HeyTruk. This merchant is listed; the app opens their page instead.
- Another fan tagged this one. Someone beat you to it. Confirming their tag still pays 25 points.
- Take the photo now, at the truck. Tags are taken live, not from your camera roll, so the location is real.
After you send
The tag shows on your own map right away. HeyTruk reviews it, usually within a few days, and lists it. You get the points and a feed moment when it goes live. See Your tagged list.
