Searching trucks, dishes and areas
One search bar covers merchant names, dishes, cuisines and neighborhoods. Results group by type; a cuisine or category opens a list of every merchant in it.
Tap the search bar on Home ("Trucks, dishes, cuisines, areas") or on the map.
What you can type
- A merchant's name.
- A dish ("jerk chicken", "dosa").
- A cuisine ("halal", "Caribbean").
- A neighborhood or area ("Astoria", "Midtown").
Results
Results group as you type: Top categories (cuisines), Menu items (dishes, with the merchants that serve them), Neighborhoods, and merchants. A merchant marked Not out right now is listed but not open. Recent searches show under an empty bar.
Tap a category to open its facet page, a list of every merchant in that cuisine near you ("Latin American · 4 trucks"), sortable like the feed.
Not on HeyTruk yet
A merchant you searched for who is not listed shows Not on HeyTruk yet with Tag a Truk if you are standing there, or you can invite them from the Friends tab. See Faded listings and Not on HeyTruk yet.
