Badges: what they are and how to earn them
Badges mark things you did in HeyTruk: milestones, neighborhoods, cuisines, loyalty, games, and a few secrets. Each level of a badge pays points when you claim it.

The families
- Milestones. Your first Bite Note, trucks tried, Bite Notes logged, and the like.
- Discovery. Trying places off the beaten path, tagging merchants not yet on HeyTruk, adding a menu, letting the wheel pick.
- Neighborhood. Eating across neighborhoods, and the Block Crown for the one you eat in most.
- Cuisines. Tacos, halal, pizza, Caribbean, Mediterranean, dumplings, dessert, coffee, and the explorer badge for breadth. Each cuisine has a crown per neighborhood.
- Loyalty. Streaks, Regulars, stamped visits, days with a Bite Note.
- Situational. Night shifts, cold days, midnight bites.
- Social. Sharing, inviting friends, word of mouth.
- FoodRUN, Lunch Rush and Game Play. Runs, shifts, daily play, both games in a day.
- Passport, Events, Food Drops, Rewards. Finishing routes, market days, Drops, the Shuffle and the Spin.
- Secret. You find out when it happens. The card says "It's a secret" until then.
Levels
Most badges have levels: 1, 5, 15 Bite Notes, for example. Each level is its own claim and its own points.
Crowns
A crown is a contested title: the person who ate the most of a cuisine in a neighborhood over the last 90 days, counted in Bite Notes and rankings, holds it. It takes at least three to qualify, a new holder is safe for two weeks, and a challenger has to clearly out-eat the holder, not edge ahead by one. Crowns are recounted every Monday, and both people hear when one changes hands. Your crowns show under Your crowns on the Rewards screen.
What a badge pays
Points on claim, set per badge: first-session badges 25 to 50, activity ladders 25 up to 500 at the top, verified-visit badges the most, crowns 250, 500 or 1,000 by tenure. Some pay nothing by design: the first Bite Note, Day One, and leaderboard badges from small boards. See Claiming a badge.
