Verified purchases and stamps

A verified purchase, also called a stamp, is the one action in HeyTruk backed by a real payment. It pays 100 points, stamps that merchant's punch card, counts toward Regular status, and counts in full toward your level.

How to verify a visit

Pay first. Then do one of these:

1. Tap the HeyTruk sticker on the merchant's stand with your phone.
2. Scan the code on the merchant's phone with your camera, if they show one.
3. Open the merchant's page and tap I just paid.
4. Get a Square receipt. At a merchant who uses Square, type the phone number or email on your HeyTruk account for the receipt and the visit counts on its own. This needs Count visits from Square receipts turned on under Settings → Privacy.

The app looks for a fresh payment at that merchant and confirms the visit. It can take a few seconds; the app retries once on its own, and stamps land within 10 minutes of paying.

Rules

• One verified visit per merchant per day. A second purchase the same day reads "Already counted today."
• The merchant must have switched on rewards. If they have not, the app says so and offers to follow them so you hear when they do.
• The merchant must be open. If they are not live in HeyTruk, the app says "They're not open right now."

What does not count

Visiting without paying, paying somewhere other than the merchant's own register, or paying at a merchant that has not connected rewards. Bite Notes, ranks and follows are real activity and pay points, but they are not verified visits.
