Troubleshooting
The app crashes or will not update
Update from the App Store, restart the phone, free up storage, and reinstall if it keeps happening. Signing in again brings everything back; nothing is stored only on the phone.
- Update the app. Open the App Store, search HeyTruk, and tap Update if there is one. Most crashes are fixed in the next release.
- Restart the phone. A full restart clears more than closing the app.
- Check storage. Under about 1 GB free, iOS can kill apps. Free some space.
- Check iOS. HeyTruk needs a recent iOS; update under phone Settings → General → Software Update.
- Reinstall. Delete the app and install it again. Your account lives on HeyTruk's side, so signing back in with your phone number restores your Radars, follows, points and lists. You will set alert permissions again.
If the update will not install
An App Store update that hangs is an App Store problem: sign out and back in to the App Store, or try on Wi-Fi.
What to include in a report
Contact support with your phone model, iOS version, the app version (Settings shows it at the bottom), what you were doing when it crashed, and whether it happens every time.
