Alerts (your Heys)
Background location
With location set to Always, the app knows which Radar you are near while it is closed, so Heys follow you between home and work. It is optional, asked once, and never tracks a trail.
Heys are matched against your active Radar. When the app is open, it picks the saved Radar you are closest to. When it is closed, it can only do that if your phone lets it read location in the background. Without that, it keeps using the last Radar that was active.
What changes with Always
- Leave home for work and the app switches your active Radar on its own, so lunch Heys come from the Work Radar.
- Nothing else. Alerts, caps and hours work the same.
What stays the same
HeyTruk keeps the places you save, not where you go. Background location is read to pick a Radar and discarded. Merchants see demand by area as a count of Radars, never a person or a position. Privacy and location lists everything stored.
Turn it on
The app offers it once, at a moment it is useful, with a Needs background location notice and an Open Settings button. To set it yourself: phone Settings → HeyTruk → Location → Always.
Turn it off
Phone Settings → HeyTruk → Location → While Using the App. Heys keep coming from your last active Radar.
