What a Hey isA Hey is the alert your phone gets when a truck you follow opens inside your Radar. It carries the truck's name and how far away it is, and plays the HeyTruk jingle.
Which trucks alert youFollowed trucks alert you on the setting you pick for each one. Trucks where you are a Regular alert you wherever they set up. New trucks in your Radar can alert you too, or wait for the daily summary.
Alert hoursAlert hours are the windows in your day when a Hey can reach you. Set them for all alerts in Settings, and for one Radar in that Radar's settings.
Alert soundChoose which jingle plays for a Hey: the HeyTruk jingle or the ice cream jingle. Ice cream trucks always play the ice cream one.
Pause all alertsOne switch stops every Hey until you turn it back on. Your Radars, follows and settings stay as they are.
The Alerts screenMe → Alerts is where every alert setting lives: each truck you follow and how often it alerts you, new trucks in your Radar, the daily summary and the weekend email.
Why did I not get an alert?Work down this list: paused, outside alert hours, the truck's own setting, outside your Radar, the daily caps, a quieted truck, phone permissions, background location.
Background locationWith location set to Always, the app knows which Radar you are near while it is closed, so Heys follow you between home and work. It is optional, asked once, and never tracks a trail.
